I was bored and grabbed up my paper to see what comments my professor put on my paper. During the middle of reading it, I catch a glimpse of something moving on the carpet at full speed. When I glanced over, I thought I was seeing a big grasshopper but when I looked closer I noticed it was a spider. He was running for his life from under one couch to the other (the one I was sitting on) and all I could see was a blur of legs! When I looked over the side of the couch...I saw him crawling underneath and I practically jumped to my death off the couch with my dress (which is 5X too long) wrapped around my feet. I knew I would be doomed if I fell to the floor. I busted into the bedroom throwing the door open, panting out of breath, close to tears so I was kind of whiny, and begging my hubby to help me find the spider and kill it! By this time, it was 5 AM and my husband had to go to work in 2 hours. Finally, he got up and went to the couch. I tried to coerce him into picking up the couch and killing it, but he was so tired and didn't "have the strength" to do it. Grumbling, he went back to bed.
With a flashlight and tennis racket, I crouched to the floor to take a look and saw nothing! I was having serious goosebumps and chills were going through my body because I was so afraid I would have a run in with the spider. No exaggeration...this spider was not a little, tiny thing...it was as big as the palm of my hand! I tried so hard to get my mind off of it by going into our office and getting on Pinterest (LoL).
Later, I was on the phone with my aunt and I needed to get the cord to charge my phone. When I looked on one of our coffee tables (next to the couch the spider had originally came from) I saw him! He was by my shoe on the floor and was dead still when I came into the room!
I freaked out with my aunt on the phone and got my hubby back up again! Luckily, this time he killed it by stepping on it. It was so big that it stained the carpet and it made a nasty crunch sound :(. I HATE SPIDERS!!!
May we never see a wolf spider in our house again!
