My grandparents' friends own 40 acres behind their property that we call the "back forty." My nana and brother decided that would be the best place to have the proposal because it is secluded and she would never suspect anything that was going on because we go back there all the time to have get-togethers. My nana came up with the idea of having a log with "Tiffani will you marry me, Anthony?" burned into it using a welding torch.
We got a late start that afternoon putting everything together. Nana, mom, Aunt Dina (& her friend), Julianne (& her best friend), and family friends, Shaelia & Amy, were working at full speed in the heat to get the decorations just right.I was busy taking pictures of the festivities.
The boys were busy having a paintball war!
Anthony and Tiffani actually showed up while we were preparing everything, but luckily they were up at my grandparent's house so Tiff couldn't see anything.
Finally, the moment came when it was time for my brother to swallow his anxiety and get ready to get down on one knee! We were leaving on a hay ride to the "back forty" at 6:30PM. The weather seemed to be disagreeing with our plans because the sky was gradually getting dark and thunder could be heard in the distance. All day I was making sure Tiff wasn't on the scent of the trail (lol) by telling her we were in the "back forty" decorating for an anniversary surprise for my aunt & uncle and their friends. She had no idea what was to happen!
My brother was starting to feel the heat here with my daddy! We were getting ready to get on the trailer.
Hailey (my cousin's BFF) had to get a running start to get on the trailer with us lol. I LOVE this picture because her face expression is priceless.

Starting to really get more nervous since we were SO close...it was starting to gradually sprinkle here.
OK, so when we got up to the spot...the moment my brother went for the ring...it POURS down raining! I love the rawness of this picture!! She saw her name on the log and what it said and she was stunned! LoL
I was so proud of these moments! He did SO good!! It was such a neat proposal with the rain coming down and the fact that everyone was waiting under their tent lol. We originally had tea lights going down the runner (and lit) and the tent was supposed to be for just them, but the weather had other plans!
